On my way back home from New Zealand (December 2017) I had a long stopover in Doha, Qatar, about nine hours. My lovely dad helped me to take a contact with Qatar Airways before my trip so the airline could prepare a room for me when I arrive at Doha International Airport. I know, my dad is really helpful and I will learn from that. If you have a stopover more than eight hour and have a connecting flight with the same airline you can get a hotel night for free. Just remember to contact the airline before you go, so they have time to fix a nice offer for you :) Pleasant journey!
